Tyson Fury has claimed that he hasn't spoken to his wife Paris Fury for three months. 'The Gypsy King' alluded to the seriousness of his preparations for his upcoming rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, suggesting that his commitment to train/prepare caused him to temporarily distance himself from his spouse. Fans soon chimed in on Fury's assertion with varying reactions.
Back in May 2024, then-WBC heavyweight kingpin Fury was almost knocked out and ultimately lost via split decision to then-unified heavyweight champion Usyk. The Ukrainian was thereby crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion. Usyk later relinquished his IBF heavyweight title. He's currently the unified heavyweight champion and not the undisputed champion anymore.
Usyk's booked to defend his unified title against England's Fury at the same venue as their first clash in Riyadh on Dec. 21, 2024. Speaking to his longtime boxing promotion, Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions, Tyson Fury recently discussed the upcoming rematch and stated:
"Feeling very good and cannot wait for the fight Saturday night. I'm going to end him; end his career this will be. You'll never hear of Oleksandr Usyk again after this... I'll be flying home for Christmas; plenty of eggnog, and mince pies, and turkeys, and all that... I can't wait."

"I wish it was tonight, and then I was going home in the morning. It's been a long camp; been away from my wife and kids for three months. I've not spoke to Paris at all in three months; not one word. Yeah, been sacrificed a lot."

Several fans accused Tyson Fury of neglecting Paris Fury, his longtime partner and the mother of their seven children. One X user wrote:
"That's crazy and unnecessary imo."
A commenter asserted:
"Could be bad for one's relationship."
Multiple netizens opined that he'd still lose to Usyk, with some even questioning how not speaking to one's wife benefits one's fighting prowess. Alternatively, some fans praised the Englishman for his sacrifices. One observer tweeted:
"What a great husband."
A few others questioned the veracity of Tyson Fury's claims, with some insinuating that the boxing megastar was lying. One fan asked why he couldn't simply text or call Paris:
"Bro can't send a text or call."
Another netizen seemingly underlined the ambiguity concerning Fury's approach:
"Not sure if this qualifies as being locked in or toxic."

Boxing icon Tyson Fury and his wife Paris Fury dealt with personal tragedy in 2024
In Oct. 2024, Tyson Fury opened up about his wife Paris Fury suffering a miscarriage on the eve of his first encounter against Oleksandr Usyk.
'The Gypsy King' recalled being told by Paris that she couldn't fly to Riyadh due to high blood pressure. Apparently, he'd feared that the real reason was because they'd lost the child they were expecting.
Tyson received confirmation about it after the fight and expressed his support for Paris Fury after the unfortunate incident. Speaking to the Mirror, Paris implied that she'd used the blood pressure excuse because she wanted to protect him before his fight:
"I came to the conclusion that whatever was happening with me, I couldn't change it. But I could change dramatically what was happening in his life."
